About Us
Welcome to Shaded In The Sun! We’re Brent and Edna Buxton, entrepreneurs with over 30 years of experience in turning
ideas into solutions that help others. Our journey began with a simple, yet powerful moment of inspiration — and a
little bit of coffee.
One morning, Edna found herself sitting on the couch with the bright sun shining directly in her eyes, making it nearly
impossible to enjoy her coffee, and the blinds where already down. As she squinted, she couldn’t help but wonder: How
many others are dealing with this same problem? That question led to a bigger idea — why not create a practical solution
to help people avoid the uncomfortable, often frustrating experience of having the sun in their face?
With over three decades of entrepreneurial experience between us, we knew that if we could find a way to help people
enjoy the indoors and outdoors without the constant battle against the sun, we’d be on to something special. And just
like that, Shaded In The Sun was born. Although, blinds, shades and shutters is not a unique idea, we know we can bring
in the right solutions at an affordable price for this very frustrating experience along with so many other reasons to have beautiful window coverings in your home.
Our mission is simple: we want to make it easier for everyone to enjoy the sunshine, without the hassle of squinting,
shielding your eyes, or constantly adjusting to avoid the glare. Whether it's enjoying a morning coffee, reading a book
inside or outside, or simply spending time with loved ones, we believe no one should have to play hide and seek with the
sun.
Thank you for visiting our page. We hope our products bring a little more comfort and joy to your sunny days!
